Formational pruning
This kind of pruning is
employed while the plant is still young.
It is probably the most important pruning
because it will shape the plant into an
adequate structure and form wich will
remain for the rest of the plant’s life.
Maintenance pruning
This kind of pruning is employed
when the plant has already reached a
certain degree of maturity.
It helps to control and guide the
envelopment of the plant, to delay ageing
and to favour the flowering.
